Job summary

Total Safety is seeking a Rescue Technician to provide technical rescue standby for customer projects, including confined space and rope rescue, plus first aid and CPR. You will assess risks, prepare rescue plans, and ensure equipment readiness in line with client standards.

Travel to client sites will be frequent, and maintaining equipment and safety procedures is essential. Educated with a high school diploma or GED, you will work in a safety-conscious environment with equal emphasis on

Qualifications

2 years of relevant rescue experience required.
Confined Space Entrant/Attendant Certification and CPR/First Aid certifications preferred.
Proficiency in rescue operations and use of PPE.
Ability to inspect and maintain rescue equipment.

Responsibilities

Assists in assessing risks and readying rescue equipment and planning safe solutions per client standards.
Drafts a Confined Space Rescue Preplan and a Rescue Safety Analysis (RSA).
Identifies hazards and determines hazard controls and contingency plans; ensures PPE is available.
Conducts daily job briefings with customers and workers.
Monitors job conditions and equipment resources; reports observations to supervisor.
Locates patient in case of accident, provides first aid/ CPR and coordinates with EMS.
Maintains and inventories rescue equipment; follows maintenance guidelines.
Travels to customer sites up to 75% of the time.
