Job summary

Etched is scaling its team and seeks a Technical Recruiter (Supercomputing/ML) to own high-leverage parts of the recruiting function in a fast-paced environment. You will drive sourcing, screening, interview coordination, and closing offers while partnering with hiring managers to balance candidate quality with speed.

You’ll source from unconventional places, build scalable processes, and focus on the candidate experience in a highly competitive market, supporting in-person growth in San Jose.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience recruiting non-technical talent in highly competitive markets.
• Ability to evaluate both technical depth and cultural fit with nuance and clarity.
• Resourceful in finding exceptional candidates beyond the obvious platforms.
• Thrive in ambiguity and enjoy building systems from scratch.
• Care deeply about candidate experience and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Own the full-cycle recruiting process from sourcing through offer.
• Build strong partnerships with hiring managers and advocate for candidates and company needs.
• Source candidates in unconventional places (GitHub, arXiv, mailing lists, Twitter threads).
• Facilitate structured interview loops, track performance, and lead debriefs with leadership.
• Manage offers and close processes with hiring managers and leaders.
• Continuously improve recruiting systems, workflows, and candidate experience.
