Chaos Industries is seeking a motivated Technical Recruiter to identify and engage exceptional technical talent in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. You will own the full-cycle recruiting process for software, hardware, and manufacturing roles, partnering with the Recruiting Lead and hiring managers to build robust pipelines.

You will operate in a small, high-growth team, with 3-4 days onsite at our Los Angeles office (El Segundo).

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience focused on technical and/or engineering roles.
• Proven track record of closing candidates for complex or hard-to-fill technical positions.
• Experience partnering with hiring managers and senior stakeholders on role scoping and pipeline strategy.
• Strong understanding of engineering roles and technical skill sets in software, hardware, systems, or manufacturing.
• Experience with Greenhouse, LinkedIn Recruiter, Pave and Asana.

Responsibilities

• Own the full-cycle recruiting process for candidates from initial screening to offer.
• Develop and implement creative strategies to build talent pipelines for technical roles.
• Partner with Recruiting Lead, hiring managers, and stakeholders to align on requirements and goals.
• Maintain and analyze pipeline metrics and provide updates to stakeholders.
• Run point on external recruiting agencies for niche positions.

Who you are

• We are particularly interested in candidates with experience recruiting for engineering roles, ideally within defense or other highly regulated technical industries

• 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience focused on technical and or engineering roles
• Proven track record of closing candidates for complex or hard-to-fill technical positions
• Experience partnering closely with hiring managers and senior stakeholders on role scoping, pipeline strategy, and candidate evaluation
• Strong understanding of engineering roles and technical skill sets such as software, hardware, systems, or manufacturing
• Ability to manage multiple searches and candidate pipelines simultaneously with strong attention to detail
• Clear and effective communicator with the ability to assess candidate motivations, alignment, and fit
• Data-driven mindset with experience tracking and improving recruiting metrics
• High ownership, adaptability, and comfort operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment
• Familiarity with ATS systems (Greenhouse preferred), sourcing tools, and structured interview practices
• Experience recruiting within the defense industry or similarly-regulated technical environments such as aerospace, government, or advanced manufacturing
• Background supporting early-stage or high-growth companies
• Experience with the following tools: Greenhouse, LinkedIn Recruiter, Pave, Asana
• Ability to operate independently while maintaining strong collaboration with cross-functional partners
• Resilient and creative problem-solver who can adapt quickly to changing hiring needs
• Strong communication style that is direct, timely, and collaborative

What the job involves

• This is a 6-month contract position with the potential for extension or full-time conversion based on performance and business needs

• We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Technical Recruiter to identify and engage exceptional talent for our growing team
• As a full-cycle Technical Recruiter, you will partner closely with our Recruiting Lead, hiring managers, and other stakeholders to build robust pipelines of technical talent aligned with our mission and values
• This role requires high ownership, comfort with a wide range of tasks, and enthusiasm for a small, fast-moving environment
• In this role, you will recruit across a variety of technical and business-critical functions, ranging from software and hardware engineering to manufacturing, operations, and G&A
• You will gain broad exposure to different teams while building deep expertise in hiring for complex technical skill sets
• Collaborate with our Recruiting Lead and hiring managers to thoroughly understand the requirements, team dynamics, and organizational goals for each role
• Own the full-cycle recruiting process for candidates from initial screening to offer
• Develop and implement creative strategies to build talent pipelines, leveraging tactical research, referrals, networking events, and sourcing campaigns
• Partner with Recruiting Coordinators, Recruiters and Operations team members to ensure seamless and efficient operational workflows
• Maintain and analyze pipeline metrics, providing regular updates and insights to internal stakeholders
• Deeply understand each team’s product, roadmap, and culture to effectively position roles
• Build expertise in critical skills, target companies, and industry trends to guide recruiting strategies and inform hiring decisions
• Utilize data and analytics to influence hiring strategies, ensure data integrity, and track progress toward recruitment goals
• Run point on external recruiting agencies being utilized for niche positions within the org you’re supporting
• Deliver an outstanding, proactive candidate experience throughout the process
• Work 3-4 days onsite out of our office in Los Angeles (El Segundo), California
