Job summary

CertainTeed, a Saint-Gobain company, is seeking a Technical and Quality Manager for the Oxford, NC site. The role leads quality, analytical and process activities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and driving continuous improvement.

You will oversee CAPA, raw material quality, audits, and a variety of process-control initiatives to improve product reliability and performance. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will mentor the Technical & Quality team, monitor KPI trends, support

Qualifications

• 7+ years in manufacturing quality or process engineering required
• Strong knowledge of ASTM/UL standards, quality systems, and process control methodologies (SPC, Six Sigma, etc.) required
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage customer-facing technical discussions
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Serve as the site’s technical SME for manufacturing processes, process controls, and product testing.
• Identify inefficiencies in production, implement corrective actions, and drive process improvements.
• Lead process capability initiatives by supervising process engineers to reduce variation and minimize disruptions.
• Oversee trials for process improvement, raw materials, and new products, including coordination and reporting.
• Support troubleshooting of complex technical issues and root-cause analysis.
• Act as primary technical resource to Sales teams for product performance and customer issues.
• Participate in customer site visits and joint problem-solving activities.
