Job summary

CertainTeed, a Saint-Gobain company, is seeking an Operational Excellence Manager in the United States (Oxford, NC) to lead world-class manufacturing initiatives. You will drive NMS, productivity gains, and waste reduction by guiding pillar leaders and coaching teams across the plant.

You will deploy deployment plans, run RCA/Kaizen events, and champion performance dashboards, advancing the site’s continuous improvement maturity and cost-saving outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration preferred; high school diploma required
• 5-10 years in manufacturing, process engineering, or technical project development
• 5+ years of experience leading teams
• Proven experience teaching WCM methods and techniques
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Responsibilities

• Lead and drive implementation of operational excellence initiatives to deliver measurable results in Net Manufacturing Savings (NMS) and waste reduction
• Facilitate steering committees to align safety, quality, delivery, cost and people priorities and ensure KPI accountability
• Own and maintain Deployment Plan and Roadmap, integrating pillar activities with plant strategy and drive project execution
• Lead RCA, Kaizen events, and problem-solving workshops to eliminate chronic losses
• Coach pillar teams to enhance technical expertise and delivery capability
• Champion performance tracking tools (e.g., Project Tracker, dashboards) for transparent decisions
• Collaborate with OPEX leadership to communicate progress and align with corporate strategies
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement at all levels
• Share best practices across the network to accelerate deployment maturity
• Manage site 5S program to ensure standards across all areas
• Execute and sustain NMS improvements and verified cost savings
