American Electric Power (AEP) seeks a Coordinator to perform work activities requiring technical knowledge under supervision, ensuring safety, efficiency and cost effectiveness. You will coordinate tasks, analyze problems, and assist in outage and project planning within a team environment.

The role emphasizes collaboration with contractors, vendors and customers, training of junior staff, and adherence to policies while maintaining strong environmental and operational standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited university or college.
• OR Associate's technical degree and 3 years of experience in design, operations, planning, construction, or maintenance of systems and/or equipment.
• OR High school diploma or GED and 5 years of experience in design, operations, planning, construction, or maintenance of systems and/or equipment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate work activities of others within the work group, team or those external to the company including contractors and vendors as required to resolve routine technical tasks and field work activities.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of policy, procedures and guidelines; monitor work and asset management.
• Participate in outage/project planning and scheduling; assist in budget planning and cost estimates.
• Provide training and guidance to lower‑level employees; communicate with customers and stakeholders.
• Protect and enhance the environment while delivering reliable electricity at a competitive cost.
