Job summary

manpowe is seeking a Technical Project Manager - Vehicle System Integration in Foster City, CA to lead release trains, manage SFMEA lifecycle, and coordinate cross-functional engineering efforts for safety-critical vehicle systems.

The role requires 5+ years in TPM or systems engineering within aerospace/automotive domains, strong knowledge of V-model lifecycle, ISO 26262, and proficiency with JIRA, Smartsheet, Jama, Polarion or DOORS; onsite, competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager or Systems Engineer in aerospace, autonomous vehicles, or advanced automotive settings.
• Deep familiarity with the systems engineering V-model lifecycle and fail-operational architectures.
• Experience managing safety workflows such as SFMEAs/DFMEAs/FTAs and ISO 26262/MIL-STD-882 compliance.
• Strong background in vehicle E/E system design or hardware/software interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Manage the release train, maturity lifecycle, and governance for all System Technical Specifications across program gates.
• Act as the owner of the SFMEA lifecycle, facilitating workshops and tracking actions for safety mitigations.
• Build and maintain the master dependency matrix linking engineering teams and resolve timeline disconnects.
• Lead the program management of Engineering Change Requests and assess impacts on timelines/resources.
• Define and track health metrics of the Systems Engineering deliverables for executive updates.
