Job summary

Partner's Consulting, Inc. seeks a Technical Project Manager III (Agile, Scrum) for a fully remote US-based contract role in Philadelphia area. You will own day-to-day delivery, maintain plans, track risks, dependencies and decisions, coordinate meetings, and drive open items to completion.

The role requires 7–10+ years of PM experience in Agile, a PM certification, and strong communication skills to work with IT leadership, business partners and stakeholders in a virtual environment.

Qualifications

Job description

Title: Technical Project Manager III – Agile, Scrum

Location: Philadelphia, PA (100% remote)

Type: Contract

Our direct client is seeking a Technical Project Manager (Agile, Scrum) III to provide dedicated execution support for a large, cross-functional HR initiative with multiple concurrent workstreams and stakeholders. This role will help create additional capacity for the existing program team by owning the day-to-day mechanics of project delivery, including maintaining project plans and timelines, tracking actions, risks, dependencies and decisions, coordinating meetings and follow-ups, organizing project documentation, supporting status reporting, and driving open items through completion. We are looking for someone who is proactive, highly organized, and comfortable getting into the details to actively help keep the work moving.

This is a fully remote position. Must be available during standard business hours and comfortable working collaboratively across a virtual, cross-functional environment. The role involves regular interaction with project leads, business partners and other stakeholders, so responsiveness and strong virtual communication skills are important.

Key Accountabilities:

• Coaches individuals in Agile processes and tools.
• Provides status reporting on project key performance indicators (KPIs), schedule, resources, and milestone delivery.
• Develops the program strategy, supporting business case and various enterprise-wide, high-level project plans.
• Ensures integration of projects and adjusts project scope, timing, and budgets as needed, based on the needs of the business.
• Responsible for enacting Scrum values and practices, ensuring the correct use of Scrum process.
• Communicates with IT leadership, business leadership, and IT Business Consultants to communicate program strategy, direction, and changes.
• Responsible for delivering all projects contained in the IT project portfolio on time, within budget, and meeting the strategic and business requirements.
• Responsible for tracking key project milestones and recommending adjustments to Project Managers.
• Partners with senior leadership of the business community to identify and prioritize opportunities for utilizing IT to achieve the goals of the enterprise.
• Manages specific new technical service engineering programs to meet broad service / product objectives.
• Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to plans and schedules, identifies delivery risks, and obtains / drives mitigation strategies and solutions.
• Coordinates across multiple engineering / development teams as needed.
• Serves as a conduit between deployment and engineering to ensure requirements and design considerations are incorporated to improve deployment and sustainability of software and services.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or other related field—or equivalent work experience.
• 7 to 10 years+ of Project Management experience in an Agile environment.
• Project Management certification is required.
• Extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of Project Management methodologies and tools.
• Experienced Scrum Master who will exhibit agile leadership and a deep understanding of what it means to conduct oneself as a servant leader.
• Outstanding organizational, communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills conducive to team development.
• Hands-on project management or project coordination experience, strong organizational and follow-through skills, and the ability to independently manage multiple priorities.
• Must-have capabilities include project plan and timeline management, action / risk / dependency tracking, meeting coordination and documentation, stakeholder follow-up, and clear written and verbal communication.
• Experience working within a large, matrixed organization and supporting cross-functional initiatives is strongly preferred.
