Job summary

AGS - American Gaming Systems is seeking a Technical Project Manager II to lead planning, development, and delivery of gaming projects. You will collaborate with PMs to coordinate dependencies across hardware, software, and game teams, ensuring on-time, within-budget delivery.

The role requires 5+ years of PM experience, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication. A background in casino gaming or regulated environments is a plus, with a focus on continuous improvement and risk

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience in tech aligned with product development.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; strong analytical and tech skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to guide other PMs.
• Proven ability to manage cross-functional, multi-team projects.
• Experience with Agile and waterfall methodologies; risk and change management.
• Familiarity with AI productivity tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT) a plus.
• Casino gaming experience or regulated industries preferred.

Job Overview

Reporting to the Manager of Engineering Operations, the Technical Project Manager II will manage planning, development, and delivery of AGS projects and collaborate with Project and Program Managers to deliver products with dependencies across teams.

Responsibilities

• Take high-level directives and work with stakeholders to define product requirements


• Manage multiple concurrent development projects from planning through approval and deployment


• Work with Program and Project Managers to deliver complete products including Hardware, Software and Games


• Proactively identify, track, and mitigate risks/impacts


• Coordinate dependencies across internal and external development teams


• Communication of project status tailored to various audiences’ required level of detail


• Optimization of project schedule and resource allocation


• Create metrics measuring effectiveness of project planning, development, and PM process


• Facilitate decisions, track action items, and maintain a change log


• Suggest and support continuous improvement

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager required


• Bachelor’s degree preferred


• Strong analytical and technology skills


• Superior attention to detail with strong communication skills (verbal and written) and organizational skills


• Ability to support and guide other project managers


• Ability to develop strong relationships with technology development teams


• Willingness to learn about casino industry, current market and technology trends


• Strong project management experience and skill set inclusive of the following areas – project planning and development, scope management, schedule development and management, risk management, issue management, change management and cost management


• Experienced professional leading execution of multiple project plans in a fast-paced, technology driven product development environment


• Strong experience gathering technical requirements and change management


• Strong experience working on and leading cross-functional projects


• Strong experience working with and leading project resources not under direct control (both external and internal)


• Strong experience in leading the delivery of products from design & development teams to internal or external production teams


• Strong experience managing multiple cross-functional projects concurrently


• Strong knowledge of Agile and waterfall development methodologies and associated tools


• Proven ability to leverage AI productivity tools - e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT - to get better work done faster. Uses these tools regularly to elevate output quality, reduce turnaround time, and bring sharper thinking to complex tasks. Approaches AI as a force multiplier, developing new skills and continuously finding new ways to integrate evolving capabilities into existing workflows.


• PMP Certification and Agile Scrum Certification preferred
