Job description

Referment is working with a global investment and technology firm on a Technical Project Manager role within its Human Capital Products team. This team builds and manages the technology that optimises people processes, integrates AI thoughtfully, and enables data-driven talent decisions across the firm.

In the near term, you'll help lead a multi-year initiative to reimagine how the firm hires — from sourcing and candidate review through offer and onboarding. You'll partner closely with Recruiting, a generative AI team, and software developers to deliver scalable, secure solutions that combine proprietary systems and third-party products.

The Role
  • Drive alignment among stakeholders across the firm to develop and implement the recruiting platform, processes, and related technology.
  • Define and manage project scope and timelines, build detailed plans, and keep cross-functional teams aligned — leveraging AI tools to manage projects.
  • Track milestones, prepare updates for leadership, and proactively address risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks to keep initiatives on schedule.
  • Guide AI-enabled recruiting tools from roadmap to adoption, working with end users to pilot, refine, and scale new solutions across the hiring process.
  • Apply agile techniques to adapt to shifting priorities and resolve ambiguity.
  • Support leadership with chief-of-staff work: running planning cycles, managing operating rhythms, and improving workflows.
What We're Looking For
  • A bachelor's degree and at least eight years of technical project or program management experience with technology platforms or infrastructure.
  • Proven delivery of large-scale, enterprise-wide initiatives involving multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, provide advisory support, and drive execution in complex environments.
  • A hands-on, pragmatic approach with the flexibility to contribute directly; chief-of-staff or operational experience is a plus.
  • Curiosity about AI tools and interest in experimenting with them — hands-on AI experience is welcome but not required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, translating business needs into actionable plans and facilitating collaboration.
  • Sound judgment and discretion with confidential information.

This could suit an experienced technical program manager — perhaps from a technology firm, consulting, or a data-heavy enterprise — who enjoys owning ambitious change programmes end to end and wants to work at the intersection of HR technology and AI. Exposure to human capital or recruiting processes is welcome but not required.
