Job summary

Focus Cloud Group is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex software, cloud, data and AI initiatives across large enterprise environments. The role is onsite in Houston, TX, requiring hands-on leadership of engineering, architecture and AI initiatives.

You will coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, manage timelines and risks, and drive architecture decisions to ensure successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience with Azure cloud and enterprise IT architectures is advantageous.

Job description

We are looking for a Technical Project Manager to join an established US technology and consulting organisation, leading the delivery of complex software engineering, cloud, data and AI initiatives across enterprise environments.

Location: Onsite (5 days per week) – Houston, TX

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple complex software engineering and technology projects from planning through delivery, managing timelines, resources, dependencies and technical risks.
• Coordinate software engineering, architecture, AI, data, cloud infrastructure and security teams to deliver enterprise technology solutions.
• Facilitate technical architecture discussions, solution design, engineering estimation and technical decision-making.
• Oversee delivery of projects involving Generative AI, AI agents, data platforms, APIs, enterprise integrations and Microsoft Azure.
• Manage Agile delivery processes, project milestones, risk mitigation and stakeholder communications across distributed technical teams.

Requirements

• Strong background in software engineering and software architecture, with subsequent experience in technical project, programme or delivery management.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex software development projects, including technical planning, estimation and risk management.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, APIs, distributed systems, databases, cloud infrastructure and security.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and enterprise cloud architectures; exposure to Azure AI services, AI agents, RAG or enterprise data platforms advantageous.
• Experience using Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence or comparable technical delivery platforms.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a closely related technical discipline.
