Job summary

Softek is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the DHS/CISA program focused on AI/ML-enabled applications, automation, and cloud data engineering. The role oversees day-to-day delivery, sprint planning, and release readiness while coordinating with government leads and cross-task teams.

Candidates should have 5+ years of PM experience in software or cloud delivery, strong knowledge of Agile and Kanban, and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

• Lead day-to-day delivery for the application development team, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release readiness reviews.
• Track dependencies, risks, and deliverables in Jira and MS Project and keep the Program Manager informed of trends and blockers.
• Coordinate with Government technical leads and cross-task teams to resolve issues and keep releases on schedule.
• Prepare meeting minutes, briefings, and status inputs for the monthly program report.

Job description

Softek is recruiting for a program supporting the Department of Homeland Security, Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (DHS/CISA). The program delivers AI/ML-enabled applications, automation, and cloud data engineering on an AWS and Databricks platform, with an emphasis on secure, vendor-agnostic design. Work is performed remotely from the contractor site with occasional travel to the Washington, DC area.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day delivery for the application development team, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release readiness reviews.
• Track dependencies, risks, and deliverables in Jira and MS Project and keep the Program Manager informed of trends and blockers.

Required Qualifications
