Job summary

ARServices is seeking a highly experienced Technical Project Manager to support the DTRA RD NTI Directorate. You will advise government leadership on program, financial, acquisition, and budget matters, coordinating taskers for the RD-NT PMO and providing SME guidance on CWMD technologies and software deployments.

The role requires TS clearance, strong executive communication, and a track record in DoD R&D program management, with familiarity with DevSecOps practices and senior leadership

Qualifications

  • Experience with DoD R&D or Science & Technology program management.
  • General understanding of information technology and software development terminology.

Responsibilities

Position Description

ARServices is seeking a highly experienced Technical Project Manager to support the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) Research and Development (RD) Nuclear Technologies (NT) Directorate. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong foundation in managing research and development (R&D) programs and/or software development efforts who are passionate about contributing to mission-critical national security initiatives. You will advise and assist government leadership on major programmatic decisions, provide subject matter expertise in program, financial, acquisition, and budget matters, and track, coordinate, and respond to internal and external taskers in support of RD-NTI and the broader RD-NT Program Management Office (PMO) A&AS team.

The Technical Project Manager will support the management of NTI programs focused on the research, development, and deployment of CWMD technologies and software capabilities while assisting the Division leadership team with key leader engagements, Senior Steering Groups, conferences, working groups, and related activities.

A qualified candidate will perform the following duties and responsibilities, but are not limited to:
  • Advise and assist with the management of NTI programs involving research and development of CWMD technologies/capabilities, software development, and deployment.
  • Assist with all aspects of NTI leadership team (Division Chief and Deputy Division Chief) tasks and key leader engagements, including preparation for Senior Steering Groups, Key Leader Engagements, conferences, working groups, and meetings.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to government program managers in the areas of program management, financial management, acquisition, and budget matters.
  • Track, coordinate, and respond to internal and external taskers for RD-NTI and as part of the overall RD-NT PMO A&AS team.
  • Support the preparation of high-quality briefings, documentation, and materials for senior leaders and technical audiences.
  • Facilitate cross-communication regarding program priorities, technical validity, and courses of action.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or demonstrated equivalent competence.
  • Experience with DoD R&D or Science & Technology (S&T) program management.
  • General understanding of information technology and software development terminology.
  • Strong executive-level oral and written communication skills.
Security Clearance Requirements

Active Top Secret clearance with eligibility for SCI, FRD, RD, and CNWDI.

Location & Travel

This is a full-time position based at DTRA Headquarters in Fort Belvoir, VA, with no travel expected.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Top Secret/SCI clearance.
  • PMP or similar project management certification.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices.
  • Familiarity with DTRA as an organization or other similar DoD experience.
  • Knowledge of nuclear technologies and/or combating WMD/CBRN threats.

Compensation at ARServices is determined based on a variety of job-related factors, including education, relevant experience, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, internal equity, external market considerations, geographic location, security clearance level, contract labor category and funding requirements, organizational needs, and applicable federal, state, and local laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full-time status. Actual starting compensation will be determined based on the selected candidate's qualifications and the factors identified above.

Posted Salary Range

USD $94,825 - $181,590 / Yr.
