Job summary

Scale AI seeks a highly experienced technical delivery professional to own and drive national security projects. You will translate complex requirements into actionable engineering work, coordinate cross-functional teams, and manage risk across secure environments.

The role requires deep technical literacy and a proven track record in delivering AI-enabled systems. Located in the United States, Colorado area, this position offers substantial responsibility with travel up to 50% for on-site

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• 5+ years in technical program management, software engineering, systems engineering, product management, or related technical delivery.
• Strong literacy in software architecture, APIs, data systems, and AI/ML products.
• Ability to write detailed technical and product requirements for engineers.
• Experience leading complex technical programs across multiple teams.
• Firm grasp of program management fundamentals: dependencies, risks, schedules, deliverables.
• Ability to reason about data availability and integration constraints in secure environments.
• Willingness to travel 25–50% for on-site engagements and evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Own technical execution for national security mission areas from requirements to deployment.
• Translate workflows into PRDs, ERDs, and executable engineering work.
• Collaborate with engineers during cycle planning on scope and milestones.
• Maintain end-to-end requirements traceability from objective to deliverable.
• Drive Jira/GitLab execution and inform master schedules and program plans.
• Manage data availability, system architecture, and integration constraints across networks.
• Identify blockers early and escalate critical risks as needed.
• Partner with subcontractors and external teams; define interfaces and handoffs.
• Communicate progress, risks, and decisions to engineers and senior stakeholders.
