Job summary

Google in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a Technical Program Manager III to lead hardware and software NPI programs within AI2/Cloud infrastructure. You’ll drive cross-functional delivery across data center systems, GPUs, and compute platforms, partnering with engineering, product, and supply chain teams.

As an individual contributor, you’ll set goals, manage schedules, assess risks, and communicate status to executives, delivering end-to-end architecture for scalable AI/ML compute systems at Google.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience in launching new products (NPI), encompassing hardware and software development, and systems infrastructure.
  • Experience with data center infrastructure and deployment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a cross-functional team, spanning all organizational levels and functional areas to develop and deliver hardware programs from inception to production.
  • Set the vision and direction for a program by outlining goals and objectives, evaluating and supervising multiple projects, organizing cross-project work within the program, and defining program controls/governance/standards.
  • Use technical judgment to drive project delivery, technology reviews, challenge proposals and build consensus. Drive consistency between Cloud processes and central processes.
  • Develop and prepare project documentation, process maps, presentations and tracking reports to provide detailed current status of each project.
  • Engage with engineering directors, product leaders and other TPM groups, to streamline processes, simplify execution, manage Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), release on time, bring tooling for efficiencies and help the teams you are engaged with in execution.

The Platforms Infrastructure Engineering Program Management Office (PMO) is part of technical infrastructure under AI2 programs organization and partners with Google Compute Engine (GCE)/TI Engineering, Networking, Data center, Supply Chain and Operations teams to deliver a broad product roadmap of AI/ML and Standard Compute systems, and solutions critical to enabling Cloud (3P) IaaS business and Google (1P) services.

Cloud Security Guardrails (CSG)-PMO (part of PIE PMO) delivers industry leading compute, storage and GPU products E2E for both Cloud and TI customers first to market. The team focuses on delivering business impacts with customer first approach and with velocity, quality, and predictability.

This is an Individual contributor role and will be lead Technical Program Manager (TPM) driving System and Solution development to deliver next generation AI/ML (GPU) systems for Cloud, and TI use cases.

US: $163000 - $236000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
