Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Seattle, WA is seeking a passionate Technical Program Manager to lead prototype engagements from discovery through deployment of new hardware technologies in AWS data centers globally.

You will interface with Networking and Infra leadership, define requirements, and establish timelines for deployment, ensuring alignment with internal customers and rapid delivery of new technologies in an agile environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of technical infrastructure management experience.
• Knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies related to infrastructure (network, data center, hardware, software).
• Experience with varying scenarios of infrastructure builds.
• 5+ years of project management in data centers or comparable critical infrastructure experience.

Responsibilities

• Write effective project charters based on business requirements for medium to large scale projects.
• Work with stakeholders to define requirements and processes.
• Manage dependencies and the interfaces between projects and negotiate trade-offs if needed.
• Provide program progress reporting on a regular basis.
• End to end responsibility for the program’s execution and success.
• Manage multiple competing projects/programs simultaneously.
• Develop and implement scalable, data-driven process improvement/automated solutions.
• Keep the customer experience as the primary focus.
• Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role.
