Job summary

Autoscience, based in the San Francisco Bay Area, is seeking a Project Manager to coordinate research and engineering programs on site. You will translate customer commitments into clear internal work plans, manage dependencies, and drive timely delivery without direct line authority.

You will collaborate with engineers and researchers, monitor milestones, and communicate risks to leadership while upholding a culture of reliable, production-ready output.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Project Manager or Technical Program Manager in a fast-moving software or AI company.
• Able to read architecture docs and follow technical discussions.
• Proven ability to push teams to meet deadlines without direct managerial authority.
• Strong communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to build trust with engineers and researchers.
• Comfort operating in ambiguity at an early-stage startup.
• Bias toward action and follow-through.

Responsibilities

• Own program status across engineering and research workstreams, identifying risks and unblocking progress
• Translate customer commitments into internal priorities and timelines
• Act as a technical bridge between engineers, researchers, and customer-facing stakeholders
• Partner with engineering leads to turn ambiguous priorities into concrete, sequenced plans
• Keep leadership informed on progress, risk, and delivery timelines
• Instill a culture of shipping reliable, production-ready work on schedule
