Job summary

Expert Technology Services is seeking a Principal Technical Program Manager to lead major automation and robotics deployment programs. You will oversee end-to-end program execution from concept through deployment, coordinating engineering, manufacturing, and operations to meet milestones and launch readiness.

The role requires 10+ years in industrial automation or robotics, 7+ years in program management, and experience directing large cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of experience in industrial automation, robotics, or complex capital equipment programs.
• Minimum 7 years in program management with global programs over $50M in scope.
• Proven ability to direct large cross-functional and matrixed teams (100+ people).
• Strong expertise in NPI, product development, systems integration, and deployment.
• Excellent project planning, risk management, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead large-scale automation and robotics deployment programs across multiple locations.
• Manage technical program execution from new product introduction (NPI) through deployment, launch readiness, and ongoing operational support.
• Partner with engineering, product, manufacturing, supply chain, and business stakeholders to develop integrated project plans.
• Oversee multidisciplinary teams throughout the complete product lifecycle: concept, development, deployment, and support.
• Develop and maintain engineering schedules, work breakdown structures, identify critical paths, dependencies, and create mitigation plans.
• Coordinate software, controls, hardware, systems, manufacturing, and operational teams to deliver complex projects on schedule and within scope.
• Drive planning and execution for deployment across multiple sites, ensuring launch readiness.
• Manage technical development, integration, testing, and deployment of automation, robotics, or electromechanical systems.
• Facilitate issue resolution, risk mitigation, and cross-functional decision-making throughout the development lifecycle.
• Establish and improve program management processes, governance, and reporting standards.
• Provide executive-level communication on project status, milestones, risks, and deliverables.
• Align customers, business stakeholders, and technical teams for successful program outcomes.
