Position Description

We're seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and client-focused Technical Program Manager to support the successful delivery of our nationwide utility programs. You'll play a key role in client onboarding, day-to-day operations, and program performance tracking — ensuring every initiative delivers measurable value to our utility partners and their customers. In this role, you'll work cross‑functionally with Product, Engineering, and Consumer Marketing to execute and continuously improve programs. You'll also support contracting and onboarding processes, ensuring alignment between internal teams and clients during program setup. Acting as the voice of the customer, you'll translate client needs and program insights into data‑driven improvements and actionable feedback. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives in dynamic, fast‑paced environments and enjoys bridging technical, operational, and client‑facing work.

Job Responsibilities
Program Delivery & Operations
  • Lead end‑to‑end execution of assigned utility programs, from client onboarding to ongoing operations and optimization.
  • Manage program timelines, deliverables, and KPIs, ensuring on‑time and high‑quality delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and client‑ready reports.
  • Anticipate risks and proactively develop mitigation plans to keep programs on track.
Client & Stakeholder Management
  • Serve as a day‑to‑day contact for utility clients, fostering strong, transparent relationships.
  • Understand client goals and performance metrics, ensuring program activities align with desired outcomes.
  • Deliver updates, dashboards, and insights to utility partners, highlighting results and recommendations.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to provide structured client feedback, feature requests, and user insights — acting as the voice of the customer.
  • Work closely with the Consumer Marketing Manager to develop and refine customer recruitment and engagement strategies.
  • As part of Operations, align resource planning, field execution, and support workflows.
Performance Tracking & Continuous Improvement
  • Track and analyze key performance metrics such as enrollment, participation, satisfaction, and load impact.
  • Use data and analytics to evaluate program effectiveness and recommend design or operational adjustments to help utilities achieve their goals.
  • Contribute to internal performance dashboards and share insights that inform company strategy.
  • Continuously refine processes to improve scalability, consistency, and client satisfaction.
Requirements
  • 4–7 years of experience in program or project management within the utility or energy sector.
  • Proven success in client‑facing roles managing multiple external stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of utility programs, DERs, or demand response.
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills — able to use insights to drive program improvement.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across teams and with clients.
  • Highly detail‑oriented, organized, and proactive, with strong follow‑through and accountability.
  • Comfortable working in an evolving, fast‑paced environment with limited structure.
Preferred
  • Experience in tech‑enabled utility programs or SaaS delivery.
  • Familiarity with utility incentive structures and reporting.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Energy Systems, or a related field.
  • PMP, Agile, or similar certification a plus.
