BD seeks a Technical Associate to operate, optimize, and maintain state-of-the-art production equipment while ensuring high-quality output. You will monitor processes, perform preventive maintenance, and uphold safety and quality systems in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address downtime, optimize logs, and support upstream/downstream operations. The role requires hands-on mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work any shift.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 2 years mechanical experience preferred.
• 6–12 months of manufacturing experience desired.
• Experience with PLCs, hydraulics and pneumatics desired.
• Must be proficient with basic hand tools.
• Familiar with mechanical components: bushings, chain drives, conveyors, gearboxes, ball valves.
• Some electrical components: sensors, photo-eyes, scales, reed switches, VFDs.
• Able to work autonomously and be self-motivated.
• Able to work any shift.
• Clear and legible handwriting.

• Operating, optimizing, and maintaining assigned production equipment.
• Meeting and exceeding production standards while maintaining product quality.
• Minimizing and preventing equipment downtime and sustaining budgeted waste levels.
• Maintaining accurate equipment logs and recording downtime and maintenance problems.
• Performing preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Starting up equipment and ensuring accurate functioning.
• Monitoring component inventories and safety guards.
• Maintaining a neat and orderly production environment.
• Monitoring in-process quality and addressing issues as needed.
• Performing required Q.C. checks and process challenges.
• Following safety and environmental procedures and Quality System Requirements.
• Supporting upstream and downstream operations.
• Performing rework as required.
• Working optimally in a team environment.
• Performing other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
