Synechron seeks a Technical Product Owner with strong SQL to join our Charlotte, NC team. You will translate business needs into prioritized user stories, manage backlogs, and guide agile delivery with close collaboration with stakeholders and delivery teams.

You will analyze data using SQL, validate requirements, and ensure solutions align with banking processes. Experience in Agile/Scrum and strong communication are essential.

• Experience as Product Owner or Technical Product Owner in banking/regulated environments.
• Directly engages with LOB leaders and stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of banking processes and data flows.
• Proven ability to gather requirements, analyze processes, and improve workflows.
• Hands-on Agile/Scrum experience with backlog management and user story development.
• Ability to write/interpret SQL queries for data validation and issue resolution.
• Proficient with Jira and Confluence for backlog and documentation.

Seeking an experienced Product Owner with strong LOB/business engagement, expertise in business process/workflow analysis, and experience working in an Agile banking environment. The ideal candidate will translate business requirements into prioritized user stories and work closely with stakeholders and delivery teams.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $100k - $110k/year & benefits (see below)..

The Role

Responsibilities:

• Partner with business stakeholders to understand processes, requirements, and pain points.
• Create and manage product backlog, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Lead Agile ceremonies and prioritize features based on business value.
• Strong understanding of Banking/Financial Services business processes.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Excellent stakeholder and LOB relationship management skills.
• Working knowledge of SQL, databases, and data analysis.
• Proficiency with Jira and Confluence.
• Work closely with technology teams to deliver solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Analyze data and validate requirements using SQL and database queries.

Requirements:

• Experience as a Product Owner, Technical Product Owner, Business Analyst, or related role in banking, financial services, or a highly regulated industry.
• Demonstrated experience working directly with LOB leaders, business stakeholders, and cross-functional delivery teams.
• Strong understanding of banking and financial services business processes, operations, products, or data flows.
• Proven experience performing business process analysis, workflow analysis, requirements gathering, and process improvement.
• Hands-on experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong understanding of product backlog management, feature prioritization, user story development, and acceptance criteria.
• Experience leading or facilitating Agile ceremonies.
• Working knowledge of SQL, relational databases, data analysis, and data validation.
• Ability to write or interpret SQL queries to investigate data, validate requirements, and support issue resolution.
• Experience using Jira and Confluence for backlog, requirements, workflow, and documentation management.
• Excellent written, verbal, presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
