Job summary

Crucial Learning is seeking a Technical Product Owner for the Crucial Learning Platform to lead day-to-day product execution and shape the platform roadmap. You will translate customer needs into actionable requirements, write compelling user stories, and prioritize the backlog for sprint cycles in a fully remote environment.

You will collaborate with engineering, QA, and business partners to deliver features end-to-end, aligning with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) required; Master’s preferred.
• 2–5 years of Agile experience in Digital Product Ownership (firm requirement).
• Proven track record delivering projects with engineering, QA, and business partners.
• Experience crafting and prioritizing a product backlog that is clear, outcome-focused, and technically sound.
• Working understanding of APIs, integrations, SaaS tech, and WCAG2.2AA requirements.
• Ability to work remotely with a dedicated workspace.
• Detail oriented, well organized, and able to pivot with changing needs.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Excellent knowledge of Jira, Confluence, and other product tools.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Preferred: experience in learning and development field.
• Preferred: LMS, LXP, LRS, SCORM, xAPI, etc.
• Preferred: ability to apply quantitative data analysis to sprints and backlog.

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end development of prioritized enhancements and new features from discovery through release.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across the organization.
• Partner with the Sr. Director to drive platform adoption with clients and stakeholders.
• Align with SDI Technical Product Owner for platform congruity.
• Gather, validate, and document voice-of-customer needs into clear requirements.
• Lead sprint planning and backlog refinement; participate in AGILE ceremonies and releases.
• Write clear user stories with strong acceptance criteria.
• Create product release notes and detailed release documentation.
• Maintain brand-aligned, modern UX and support bringing new products to market.
• Stay current on learning industry trends and AI innovations.
