Job summary

Capital Region Chamber is seeking a Product Owner to drive backlog prioritization and collaboration with software teams. You will lead refinement, planning, and review sessions, gather user feedback, and translate it into actionable features while ensuring UI/UX quality.

You will communicate across technical and non-technical stakeholders, manage priorities in an Agile/Scrum environment, and mentor teams toward delivering valuable product releases remotely from NY or TX.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst or active participant in a Scrum process.
• Experience working directly with software development teams and international teams.
• Demonstrated knowledge of scrum and agile principles.
• Exposure to logistics, education, public safety, fleet maintenance fields.

Responsibilities

• Develops and prioritizes a large development backlog with regularly changing priorities.
• Collaborates with the development teams, quality assurance, and Scrum Masters to build and evaluate new features and products.
• Presents complex designs across technical and non-technical teams.
• Leads and participates in critical scrum meetings like Refinement Meetings, Sprint Planning, and Sprint Reviews.
• Performs user and product research by exploring ideas with internal and external stakeholders.
• Creates and critiques UI/UX artifacts used to guide the development team.
• Motivates development teams to meet sprint commitment and product quality goals.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.
