Job summary

Select Minds LLC is seeking an experienced Technical Product Owner to lead product development initiatives in a complex enterprise technology environment. This fully remote position collaborates with CTO-level leadership, engineers, and QA to translate strategic goals into actionable requirements and successful technology delivery.

The candidate will own the technical backlog, define acceptance criteria, and drive backlog refinement.

Qualifications

6+ years in Technical Product Management or Product Ownership.
Experience with complex enterprise software, infrastructure, cloud, or platform products.
Strong experience communicating with and presenting to CTO/VP-level executives.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Strong understanding of modern software architecture, including:
- Microservices
- Cloud-native architecture
- APIs
- Distributed systems
Advanced knowledge of Scrum and Kanban.
Experience using JIRA and Confluence
Ability to create clear, testable acceptance criteria using approaches such as BDD / Given-When-Then.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to independently assess technical dependencies, trade-offs, risks, and resource constraints.

Responsibilities

Partner with the CTO Office, engineering leadership, business stakeholders, product, design, and QA.
Communicate technical decisions, trade-offs, risks, and roadmap progress to executive leadership.
Translate business and technical requirements into detailed user stories and technical specifications.
Own and prioritize the technical product backlog.
Define clear and testable acceptance criteria.
Lead backlog refinement and grooming sessions.
Maintain a strong Definition of Ready.
Manage cross-functional dependencies and technical blockers.
Work closely with engineering and QA teams to ensure quality implementations and releases.
Support sprint planning and milestone execution.
Track product telemetry, operational metrics, and stakeholder feedback.
Identify opportunities for continuous product improvement.
Ensure delivered solutions provide measurable user, system, and business value.
