Job summary

Select Minds LLC is seeking an experienced Technical Product Owner to lead development initiatives in a complex enterprise technology environment. You will partner with CTO-level leadership, business stakeholders, architects, engineers, product teams, design and QA to translate strategic goals into actionable requirements.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Technical Product Management or Product Ownership.
• Experience with complex enterprise software, infrastructure, cloud, or platform products.
• Strong experience communicating with and presenting to CTO/VP-level executives.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Strong understanding of modern software architecture, including: Microservices, Cloud-native architecture, APIs, Distributed systems.
• Advanced knowledge of Scrum and Kanban.
• Experience using JIRA and Confluence
• Ability to create clear, testable acceptance criteria using approaches such as BDD / Given-When-Then.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to independently assess technical dependencies, trade-offs, risks, and resource constraints.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the CTO Office, engineering leadership, business stakeholders, product, design, and QA.
• Communicate technical decisions, trade-offs, risks, and roadmap progress to executive leadership.
• Translate business and technical requirements into detailed user stories and technical specifications.
• Own and prioritize the technical product backlog.
• Define clear and testable acceptance criteria.
• Lead backlog refinement and grooming sessions.
• Maintain a strong Definition of Ready.
• Manage cross-functional dependencies and technical blockers.
• Work closely with engineering and QA teams to ensure quality implementations and releases.
• Support sprint planning and milestone execution.
• Track product telemetry, operational metrics, and stakeholder feedback.
• Identify opportunities for continuous product improvement.
• Ensure delivered solutions provide measurable user, system, and business value.

Technical Product Owner

Location:Remote

Job Type: W2 Contract/ FTE

Experience Required: 6+ Years (as Tech Product Owner)

Overall Experience : 10+ years

Compensation will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and technical expertise.

You will partner with CTO-level leadership, business stakeholders, architects, engineers, product teams, design, and QA to translate strategic goals into actionable product requirements and successful technology delivery.

• Experience transitioning from engineering/architecture into Product Ownership.

This is a 100% remote position working with a distributed team. Candidates should be comfortable working independently and communicating effectively in an asynchronous remote environment.
