Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically savvy Product Owner to support complex, cloud-driven transformation initiatives. This individual will play a key role in standing up newly acquired technology environments, driving modernization efforts, and ensuring seamless Agile delivery across multiple concurrent workstreams.
This role requires a self-starter who can operate autonomously, manage competing priorities, and effectively bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in Agile methodologies, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and DevOps practices, along with the ability to anticipate risks and drive outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Agile Delivery & Product Ownership
- Own and manage the product backlog across multiple projects and workstreams (typically 3 concurrent streams)
- Lead Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups (potentially multiple per day), backlog grooming, and sprint planning sessions
- Translate high-level requirements into well-defined user stories and acceptance criteria
- Ensure continuous alignment between business objectives and technical delivery
- Support initiatives to stand up and integrate newly acquired technology environments in AWS and Azure
- Contribute to efforts around containerization, infrastructure modernization, and cloud-native architecture
- Work closely with engineering teams leveraging tools such as Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps platforms (e.g., Azure DevOps, Bitbucket)
- Provide oversight and coordination for environments leveraging technologies like Oracle Autonomous Database
Required Qualifications
- 5–7 years of experience as a Product Owner, Technical Business Analyst, or similar Agile delivery role
- Strong hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence
- Experience working in cloud environments (AWS and/or Azure)
- Solid understanding of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and version control tools (e.g., Bitbucket)
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform
- Strong technical acumen, including understanding of containerization, cloud architecture, and networking concepts
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities
- Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting cloud migrations, acquisitions, or platform integrations
- Familiarity with Oracle Autonomous Database or similar cloud-based data platforms
- Experience working in high-availability or operationally complex environments
- Exposure to networking concepts and terminology, with the ability to engage technical teams effectively
- Highly self-directed and autonomous (able to operate independently ~75% of the time)
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate risks and “look around corners”
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business context
- Inquisitive mindset with a desire to deeply understand systems, processes, and dependencies
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
