Qualifications

We are seeking a Product Owner to lead innovative technology solutions, combining technical expertise with strategic product management. This role requires bridging technical teams and stakeholders while driving cutting-edge software products that meet user needs, contract requirements, and business objectives

Responsibilities
  • Product Strategy & Leadership: Help define and communicate product vision and roadmaps, prioritize features based on user feedback and contract requirements. Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure strategies align with business and technical goals
  • Stakeholder Management: Work closely with customers, engineers and program leadership to refine product backlogs and align team priorities. Bridge technical and business teams, lead technical interchange meetings, customer reviews and planning activities, and participate in design reviews as a key software engineering stakeholder.
  • Agile Development: Manage product backlogs and break down complex capabilities into achievable program increments, Features and User Stories. Partner with Scrum Masters on feature understanding, acceptance criteria, and active participation in agile ceremonies including standups, planning, and retrospectives.
  • Technical Guidance: Provide technical direction leveraging deep software engineering understanding. Support technical scope decomposition, mentor teams on CI/CD best practices, and stay with industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Performance Management: Define KPIs and track metrics to measure product success, monitor user satisfaction and adoption, oversee delivery from conception through sprints/iterations, and manage risk mitigation throughout the development lifecycles

Here's what you'll need

Demonstrated technical team leadership abilities, excellent communication and collaboration skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders, strong analytical problem-solving capabilities, and self-direction in fast paced environments

Technical Skills

Software Development Background with knowledge of object-oriented programming (C++, C#, Java, Python) and component architectures, solid agile/Scrum experience, proficiency with ALM tools (JIRA, Confluence), CI/CD Pipelines, Cloud Platforms, and Software Debugging/optimization

Must be a US Citizen

Clearance Required

Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, US DoD Secret or Higher

Minimum Years of Experience

Bachelor’s degree in STEM, Computer Science or related field

Eight (8) years in software engineering and product management or Product Owner technical experience

Domain Expertise
  • Experience in specialized domains such as mission planning, military aircraft avionics or defense systems
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies including generative AI, machine learning frameworks, or scientific workflows
  • Experience with large, complex systems development or related systems engineering experience
Advanced Technical Skills
  • Experience in specialized domains such as mission planning, military aircraft avionics or defense systems

Leadership Experience
  • Previous experience in startup or fast-paced environments

  • Comfortable with presenting to large groups

Work Schedule/Location

Our team works on a compressed 9/80 schedule. Hybrid with at least 2 days in office at the Nashua location are required.

The base salary range for this position is $125,000.00 to $165,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
