Job summary

Onto Innovation is seeking a Technical Product Manager to translate product priorities into cross-functional plans, owning timelines and outcomes. The role requires credibility across software, hardware, and systems, with an ability to influence teams that do not report directly to you.

Ideal backgrounds include Systems Engineering, NPI, Product Management, or Engineering Leadership in semiconductor capital equipment.

Qualifications

• PhD or master's/bachelor in a technical discipline as listed.
• Strong ability to spot risks, gaps, and dependencies early.
• Proven track record leading cross-functional technical initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Keep risk, cost, schedule, readiness, and commitments visible.
• Identify risks early and coordinate mitigation with clear owners.
• Review priorities and advance critical deliverables.
• Keep cross-functional commitments aligned and resourced.
• Track schedules and drive recovery when commitments slip.
• Monitor cost drivers and meaningful cost changes.
• Ensure documentation, test plans, and release deliverables are completed.
• Help define new policies to cover needs where none exist.
• Coordinate readiness for milestones, releases, and deployments.
• Build technical breadth and communicate risks and tradeoffs.
