Job summary

Onto Innovation is seeking a capable engineer to drive product development from concept to manufacturing release for semiconductor capital equipment. You will apply mechanical, electrical, and systems engineering fundamentals and support design analyses with FEA and tolerance studies.

You will perform prototype builds, system-level characterization, validation, and compliance testing, while collaborating with sales and service teams to promote adoption of Onto Innovation products.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Engineering or related technical degree with 4+ years in product development.
• Experience using engineering software tools to create reports, procedures, and drawings.
• Strong fundamentals in mechanical, electrical, and systems engineering.

Responsibilities

• Follow the Onto Innovation product development process from concept to manufacturing release and sustaining of capital equipment.
• Provide engineering design and test support using hardware and software tools.
• Perform design analysis including tolerance analysis, simulation, and FEA.
• Deliver project requirements related to schedule, budget, and technical targets.
• Support prototype builds, system-level characterization, validation, and compliance testing.
