Job summary

Menlo is seeking a technical Product Manager for the Platform team to own the Menlo Platform end to end, from APIs and SDKs to the agent deployment and fleet observability. You will work closely with engineers on architecture, API design, and safety guidelines while talking to users weekly to shape the product.

This is a builder's PM role where you ship features that developers rely on for real robot deployments.

Qualifications

• Shipped developer-facing technical products: platforms, APIs, SDKs, or cloud infrastructure.
• Strong technical foundation, ideally a CS or engineering degree or time as a software engineer.
• Able to read Python, run a script against an API, and debug a quickstart.
• Able to participate in architecture reviews on APIs, auth, real-time streaming, and cloud vs edge.
• Able to write technical specs with clear requirements, edge cases, and success criteria.
• Able to talk to users by default and separate requests from needs.

Responsibilities

• Own the Menlo Platform end to end, from initial signals to shipped features used by developers.
• Set and defend the roadmap across console, SDKs, Digital Asimov, and robot control plane.
• Define API and SDK surface with engineering, including auth, versioning, and backward compatibility.
• Shape how agents are packaged, permissioned, validated, and deployed to hardware with safety envelopes.
• Address real-time robotics tradeoffs: latency, connectivity, session lifecycle, robot vs cloud execution.
• Define developer experience from installation to first deployment and improve time to first robot movement.
• Collaborate with Brain, Hardware, and Deployment to translate feedback into platform features.
• Regularly talk to users—open-source builders, researchers, and enterprise teams.
