Job summary
Viam in New York City is seeking a Senior Product Manager to own a core area of the platform, define the roadmap, and partner with engineering and leadership to drive developer adoption. You will work in a hybrid model, three days in the NYC office, collaborating with forward-deployed engineers, guiding strategy from ambiguity to production for hardware-aware software
Qualifications
- 8+ years in product management with a software engineering background.
- Experience building developer-facing products like APIs, SDKs, or platforms.
- Track record turning ambiguity into production, migrations and deprecations.
- Technical credibility to read code and discuss designs with engineers.
- Ability to perform market research and shape strategy from user insights.
Responsibilities
- Own roadmap for the platform area from definition to launch and adoption.
- Collaborate on strategy to remove adoption blockers for developers.
- Shape how physical AI and robotics affect software engineer involvement.
- Guide architecture decisions about core vs registry vs SDK.
- Drive 0-to-1 capabilities through real deployments and SDK onboarding.
