Viam in New York City is seeking a Senior Product Manager to own a core area of the platform, define the roadmap, and partner with engineering and leadership to drive developer adoption. This role sits near the code, requiring software engineering experience, and involves shaping platform architecture and SDKs.

You will work in a hybrid model, three days in the NYC office, collaborating with forward-deployed engineers, guiding strategy from ambiguity to production for hardware-aware software

Qualifications

• 8+ years in product management with a software engineering background.
• Experience building developer-facing products like APIs, SDKs, or platforms.
• Track record turning ambiguity into production, migrations and deprecations.
• Technical credibility to read code and discuss designs with engineers.
• Ability to perform market research and shape strategy from user insights.

Responsibilities

• Own roadmap for the platform area from definition to launch and adoption.
• Collaborate on strategy to remove adoption blockers for developers.
• Shape how physical AI and robotics affect software engineer involvement.
• Guide architecture decisions about core vs registry vs SDK.
• Drive 0-to-1 capabilities through real deployments and SDK onboarding.
