Job description

Our world is transforming, and PTC is leading the way. Our software brings the physical and digital worlds together, enabling companies to improve operations, create better products, and empower people in all aspects of their business.

Our people make all the difference in our success. Today, we are a global team of nearly 7,000 and our main objective is to create opportunities for our team members to explore, learn, and grow – all while seeing their ideas come to life and celebrating the differences that make us who we are and the work we do possible.

We are looking for a Technical Product Manager to drive delivery and execution across multiple Agile squads within PTC’s new SaaS platform. In this role, you will act as a bridge between Product Managers, Engineering, and other cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring that requirements are understood, prioritized, and delivered effectively.

You will be embedded with engineering squads, taking full ownership of the product backlog, translating high-level strategies from Product Managers into executable stories, and delivering value to customers through scalable and secure software solutions. While based in Dublin, you will be working with teams around the world including USA, Israel, India and UK.

Key Responsibilities:

Agile Delivery & Backlog Management

  • Translate product strategy and feature concepts (provided by Product Managers) into detailed technical requirements and well-scoped user stories.
  • Own and prioritize the squad backlog, ensuring alignment with product and business goals.
  • Lead backlog grooming, sprint planning, and reviews
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with Product Managers to align roadmap priorities and ensure technical feasibility.
  • Partner with Engineering Leads to estimate complexity, remove roadblocks, and clarify requirements during development.
  • Collaborate with QA, UX/UI, DevOps, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality, user-centric deliverables.
  • Communicate squad-level progress, risks, and tradeoffs clearly to Product Managers and leadership.
Technical Focus:
  • Understand architectural implications of features and act as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Contribute to conversations about system design, integration, APIs, data modeling, and scalability.
  • Proactively identify and manage technical debt and dependencies across squads.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years in a Technical Product Manager, Product Owner, or similar hybrid role within a SaaS environment.
  • Proven experience managing multiple Agile squads simultaneously.
  • Strong technical acumen and experience working directly with software engineering teams.
  • Deep understanding of Agile frameworks and product delivery best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate between technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Skilled at managing competing priorities in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Background in software engineering or systems architecture is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, Postman, Figma or Trello.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS), APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and microservices architecture.
  • Certifications such as CSPO, SAFe PO/PM, or Pragmatic Institute are a bonus.

Life at PTC is about more than working with today’s most cutting-edge technologies to transform the physical world. It’s about showing up as you are and working alongside some of today’s most talented industry leaders to transform the world around you.
