Job summary

Lief Labs is seeking a Technical Operator to join our production team on the 1st shift (5:00am–1:00pm, Monday–Friday, plus weekends as needed). You will monitor packaging lines and production equipment, perform setup and preventive maintenance, clear jams, and report malfunctions to supervision to ensure product quality and efficiency.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in mechanical maintenance and a solid understanding of cGMP.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of mechanical maintenance experience.
  • Familiar with Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP).
  • 1 year of experience in Production Operations.
  • Strong problem-solving and written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality work within deadlines under supervision.
  • Interact professionally with other employees.
  • Work as part of a team on all assignments.
  • Communicate and coordinate with other teams as needed.
  • Set up on production equipment and PM equipment in designated areas.
  • Fix and adjust equipment per manufacturer manuals and specifications.
  • Support installation of new equipment and provide data to improve efficiency.
  • Report issues to supervisors and leads and escalate as needed.
  • Assist janitorial to maintain clean, compliant work areas.

Job Summary

The Technical Operator will be assigned to production equipment or a packaging line. Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of products to standards. Stop or reset machines when malfunctions occur, clear machine jams and report malfunctions to a supervisor. Adjust machine components and machine tension and pressure according to size or processing angle of product. Clean and remove damaged or otherwise inferior materials to prepare raw products for processing. Perform preventative maintenance and inspect parts for signs of excessive wear or damage. Schedule is 1 st shift Monday through Friday 5:00am - 1:00pm and weekends as needed.

  • Making sure machines are working properly and efficiently.

  • Fix and adjust equipment per Manufacturer’s Manual

  • Support and assist in installation of any new equipment.

  • Support Engineering to provide data and improvement the efficiency of equipment in production.

  • Report and elevate any issue in production to supervisor and Leads.

  • Support Janitorial to keep area clean and compliant to cGMP.

  • Any other duties as assigned by the supervisors.


Minimum Qualifications


  • 1–2-year experience in mechanical maintenance

  • Solid work ethics

  • Mechanically Inclined

  • Understand and familiar with Good Manufacture Practice (cGMP)

  • 1 years’ experience in Production Operations

  • Knowledge of production machines and processes.

  • Ability to work while standing/rotation and handle packaging equipment to make precise measurements. Ability to pay attention to the details.

  • Ability to solve problems.

  • Understand how to planning & organize self and work.

  • Possess good communication both written and verbal.

  • Performs work with quality standards.

  • Ability to interact at all levels.

  • Ability to work as a team member.

  • Schedule is 1 st shift Monday through Friday 5:00am - 1:00pm and weekends as needed.

Physical & Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to bend, sit, talk, move about, hear and speak. May be required to work in restricted spaces and/or under difficult lighting and access conditions.


The employee requires to push, lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds, and be able to use appropriate support equipment to lift and move greater amounts. Must be able to stand for approximately 8-10 hours.


Must be able to work independently, in a team environment, and drive projects to solution.


Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Employee is required to properly use such safety equipment as is appropriate to the work to prevent injury to self or others.


Exposed to various raw materials, including allergens (i.e. milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, tree nut, peanuts, wheat, soy).


Hourly Rate: $23.00-$29.86 per hour. Starting pay is determined by several factors including experience, skills, education, training, and market conditions.
