Job summary

Lief Labs is seeking a 2nd Shift Blending Operator to run blending equipment safely and in accordance with SOPs, ensuring product quality and proper batch records. The role covers equipment setup, monitoring, and coordination with leadership, with a Monday-Friday 1:30pm–10:00pm schedule and weekends as needed.

Collaborate with team members, follow GDP, maintain documentation, and participate in process improvements.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years’ experience in manufacturing environment, preferably with blending equipment.
  • Understand and familiar with Good Manufacture Practice (cGMP), SOP’s.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of blending equipment and process preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment in a safe manner.
  • Ability to complete job requirements independently at completion of onboarding period.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English is essential for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Focus will be to ensure blending equipment is running efficiently and in a safe manner to produce quality product.
  • Follow all safety policies including LOTO (lock out tag out).
  • Maintain and follow manufacturing batch records, logs and other documentation by following GDP.
  • Trouble shoots and adjusts blending equipment when issues arise.
  • Works with and trains new blending operators.
  • Able to make suggestions to improve blending processes.
  • Able to successfully start-up, operate blender efficiently and tear down for major cleaning according to batch record and specifications, on WI and SOP.
  • Report any safety, quality and equipment issues to lead or supervisor.
  • Keep area and equipment clean and in compliance with cGMPs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

The 2nd Shift Blending Operator blending equipment in a safe manner and according to standard operating procedures. Ensure product produced meets quality standards. Confirm correct raw materials and quantities are used. Report any discrepancies to lead or supervisor. Maintain proper documentation (GDP) on all batch records and any other documents as required. Schedule is Monday through Friday 1:30pm - 10:00pm and weekends as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years’ experience in manufacturing environment, preferably with blending equipment.

  • Proper use of scales, calculator, and other physical testing equipment.
  • Possesses strong attention to detail and GDP.
  • Strong organizational skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English is essential for this role. The ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both written and verbally, to ensure successful collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
  • Schedule is Monday through Friday 1:30pm - 10:00pm and weekends as needed

Physical & Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to bend, sit, talk, move about, hear and speak. May be required to work in restricted spaces and/or under difficult lighting and access conditions.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10-50 pounds and be able to use appropriate support equipment to lift and move greater amounts. Must be able to stand for approximately 8-10 hours.

Must be able to work independently, in a team environment, and drive projects to solution.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Employee is required to use properly use such safety equipment as is appropriate to the work to prevent injury to self or others.

Exposed to various raw materials, including allergens (i.e. milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, tree nut, peanuts, wheat, soy).

Hourly Rate: $18.47-$19.30 per hour

Starting pay is determined by several factors including experience, skills, education, training, and market conditions.
