Job summary

The Technical Manager, Local Media is the senior operations lead responsible for ensuring reliable production technology services supporting NBA Local Media across Secaucus. This role directs daily operations, standards, and governance with a focus on high-quality live broadcasts and cross-functional collaboration.

Based in the Secaucus office, the role requires five days in the office and availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays aligned with the NBA game schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Engineering, Engineering, CS, IT, Media Production or related field preferred.
• 10+ years of live broadcast production or technical operations experience preferred.
• Experience leading technical personnel on large-scale events.
• Experience coordinating multi-venue production operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the League's Technical Manager function and oversee freelance Technical Managers.
• Coordinate production technology, routing, monitoring, and distribution for live NBA broadcasts.
• Develop operational standards, service levels, and governance for production technology operations.
• Provide incident response leadership and cross-functional troubleshooting during live events.
• Oversee readiness for preseason, All-Star, Summer League, and other events.
