Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation is seeking a Technical Manufacturing Trainer to leverage hands-on manufacturing experience to develop others across welding, fabrication, mechanical assembly, electrical systems, and HVAC/pre‑conditioned air training.

You will train team members, develop instructor materials, and collaborate with production leadership to continuously improve safety, quality, craftsmanship, and learning outcomes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Five or more years hands-on experience in manufacturing, welding, fabrication, assembly, electrical, HVAC, or related technical field.
• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude; able to explain processes clearly.

Responsibilities

• Train and coach team members on technical manufacturing skills (welding, fabrication, assembly, electrical, HVAC).
• Turn hands-on experience into practical training applicable on the job.
• Demonstrate safe use of tools and equipment, including welding equipment, torque tools, cranes, measuring tools, and testing devices.
• Teach team members to read and follow prints, schematics, weld symbols, and standard work instructions.
• Support training related to HVAC and pre-conditioned air systems; cover mechanical, electrical, brazing processes.
• Facilitate Level 1 and Level 2 high-voltage safety training.
• Coach on quality, inspection, troubleshooting, and identifying manufacturing discrepancies.
• Create hands-on, written, online, and LIVE manufacturing training materials.
