Oshkosh Corporation is seeking a Technical Manufacturing Trainer to leverage hands-on manufacturing experience to develop others across welding, fabrication, mechanical assembly, electrical systems, and HVAC/pre‑conditioned air training.
You will train team members, develop instructor materials, and collaborate with production leadership to continuously improve safety, quality, craftsmanship, and learning outcomes.
The Oshkosh Corporation Vocational segment leverages the power of our people, brands, and strength in technology to improve the safety, cleanliness, and productivity of our communities. The Vocational segment includes market leading brands McNeilus, Oshkosh S-Series, IMT, Pierce, MAXIMETAL, Oshkosh Airport Products, and Frontline Communications. Our purpose‑built products serve our communities with carefully designed and engineered refuse trucks, front‑discharge mixer trucks, fire apparatus, Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting trucks, service vehicles, and command trucks. Our products are designed to perform under the toughest conditions.
Turn Your Manufacturing Experience Into an Opportunity to Develop Others. Are you the person coworkers turn to when they need help understanding a process, solving a problem, or learning the right way to get the job done? As a Technical Manufacturing Trainer, you’ll take your hands‑on manufacturing experience and use it to help others build the skills they need to succeed. You’ll train team members in areas such as welding, fabrication, mechanical assembly, electrical systems, high‑voltage safety, and HVAC/pre‑conditioned air systems.
In this role, you will:
High school diploma or GED. Five (5) or more years of hands‑on experience in manufacturing, welding, fabrication, assembly, electrical, HVAC, or a related technical field. Strong mechanical and technical aptitude. Ability to explain technical processes in a clear, practical way. Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, prints, or work instructions. Strong communication and problem‑solving skills. A willingness to learn new products, processes, technologies, and training methods. Ability to travel up to 20%.
This is an opportunity to take the skills you’ve built throughout your manufacturing career and multiply their impact. Instead of only building the product, you’ll help build the people who build it. If you enjoy working with your hands, solving technical problems, sharing what you know, and watching others succeed because of something you taught them, you’ll thrive in this role.
