Job summary

Techgene Solutions is seeking a senior engineering leader to guide and grow cloud-based applications. You will mentor teams, design scalable Python/AWS backends, and promote AI-assisted engineering to boost productivity and code quality.

You will oversee architecture, security, and delivery pipelines, while driving continuous improvement in processes and engineering practices across cross-functional groups.

Qualifications

• Lead and mentor engineering teams, providing technical guidance and ensuring high-quality software delivery.
• Design and develop scalable backend applications using Python and AWS services.
• Drive AI-assisted engineering adoption to improve coding efficiency, testing, debugging, and code quality.
• Oversee architecture, code reviews, security, performance, and engineering best practices.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, deployments, and production support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions aligned with business requirements.
• Identify technical risks and drive continuous improvement in engineering processes.
• Experience with Go (Golang) is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Review solution designs and provide technical recommendations to ensure scalable, maintainable, and robust implementations.
• Assign technical responsibilities, monitor team performance, and guide engineers in resolving complex technical challenges
• Oversee delivery milestones, resource utilization, and technical dependencies to ensure predictable and timely delivery.
• Facilitate discussions with business and technical stakeholders to align priorities, manage expectations, and resolve escalations.
• Ensure adherence to security requirements, coding standards, and organizational engineering best practices.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and drive improvements in development processes, engineering practices, and team productivity.
• Identify and monitor delivery risks, drive mitigation measures, and ensure production readiness and operational stability.
