Skills – Mandatory

• Lead design and code reviews, setting clear standards for code quality, testing, security, and observability.
• Design, build, and operate scalable backend services and APIs
• Define team practices for AI-assisted work: prompting, agentic workflows and review of AI-generated code.

Skills – Primary

• Strong knowledge in Python development.
• Practical experience with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, and Cursor, including reviewing, validating, and guiding AIgenerated code.
• Strong knowledge in designing, building, and operating applications on AWS

Skills – Good to have

• Experience with Go (Golang) development.

Job Purpose

Lead the design, delivery, and reliability of scalable cloud-native services on AWS, built primarily in Python. Guide and grow a high-performing engineering team while embedding AI-assisted engineering practices that raise both delivery speed and code quality.

Job Description

• Lead the development of backend applications and cloud-native solutions using AWS and Python.
• Translate business and technical requirements into scalable and maintainable technical solutions.
• Drive adoption of AI-assisted engineering tools across development, testing, debugging, and code optimization.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, engineering best practices, application security, and performance requirements.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver project objectives.
• Support deployment automation, CI/CD implementation, and production issue resolution.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Own technical design decisions and guide the team on implementation approaches.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure consistency, maintainability, and quality across deliverables.
• Mentor developers, resolve technical blockers, and support knowledge sharing within the team.
• Coordinate end-to-end technical delivery, including development, testing, deployment, and production readiness.
• Work closely with stakeholders to clarify requirements, manage dependencies, and communicate technical progress.
• Identify technical risks and drive mitigation plans to minimize delivery issues.
• Promote engineering automation and effective use of AI-assisted development tools.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes, performance, and reliability.
