Job summary

Everestek Technosoft Solutions is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with hands-on Python, AWS, DevOps, and cloud automation experience to design, build, automate, and support scalable cloud-based solutions.

The role focuses on AWS infrastructure, CI/CD, IaC, automation, and production support, including testing, monitoring, and continuous improvement of deployment processes and cloud-native apps.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering, DevOps, or cloud engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on Python in production environments.
• Strong hands-on AWS cloud services and infrastructure experience.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, or similar.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
• Experience with Docker and containerization.
• Familiarity with Git and version-control workflows.
• Experience with automated testing and CI/CD integration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Python applications, services, and automation for cloud environments.
• Develop and maintain AWS cloud automation and infrastructure using EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, VPC, S3, and more.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, deployment, and promotion across environments.
• Develop infrastructure automation using Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or similar IaC tools.
• Build reusable automation to improve deployment efficiency, reliability, and operational processes.
• Develop and integrate automated unit, integration, and infrastructure tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with developers and infra teams to drive automation and improve engineering processes.
• Develop and support microservices, APIs, and cloud-native apps as needed.
• Work with Docker and related containerization technologies.
• Monitor apps and infrastructure, analyze logs, and troubleshoot production issues.
• Identify reliability, performance, security, and scalability improvements and implement solutions.
• Follow best practices in version control, testing, documentation, and secure coding.
• Participate in technical design, estimation, planning, and implementation of engineering initiatives.
• Collaborate with Architects, Developers, QA, DevOps, and other stakeholders across teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and uphold code quality and engineering standards.

Senior Software Engineer AWS & Python

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Python, AWS, DevOps, and cloud automation to design, develop, automate, and support scalable cloud-based solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong software engineering foundation combined with practical experience in AWS infrastructure, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, automation, containerization, and production support. The role involves developing reusable automation, improving deployment processes, integrating automated testing, and supporting reliable cloud infrastructure and applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Python-based applications, services, and automation solutions for cloud environments.
• Develop and maintain AWS cloud automation and infrastructure solutions using services such as EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, VPC, ELB, S3, and related AWS services.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, testing, deployment, and promotion across different environments.
• Develop infrastructure automation using Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or similar Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Build reusable automation solutions to improve deployment efficiency, reliability, and operational processes.
• Develop and integrate automated unit, integration, and infrastructure tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Work with development and infrastructure teams to identify opportunities for automation and continuously improve engineering processes.
• Develop and support microservices, APIs, and cloud-native applications where required.
• Work with containerized environments using Docker and related technologies.
• Monitor applications and infrastructure, analyze logs and system performance, and troubleshoot production issues.
• Identify potential reliability, performance, security, and scalability improvements and implement appropriate solutions.
• Follow software engineering best practices including version control, code reviews, documentation, testing, and secure coding practices.
• Participate in technical design, estimation, planning, and implementation of engineering initiatives.
• Collaborate with Architects, Developers, QA, DevOps, and other stakeholders across teams and time zones.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to maintaining high standards of code quality and engineering practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering, DevOps, cloud engineering, or a closely related role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python in a production engineering environment.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and infrastructure.
• Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar.
• Strong experience with one or more Infrastructure as Code technologies such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
• Experience with Docker and containerization.
• Good understanding of software development lifecycle, Agile methodologies, and engineering best practices.
• Experience with automated testing and integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong experience with Git or other version-control systems.
• Experience with Bash/Shell scripting.
• Good understanding of cloud security, networking, monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting.
• Experience working with REST APIs, microservices, or serverless architectures is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with distributed teams.

Good to Have

• Experience with TypeScript.
• Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, VPC, EC2, ELB, S3, CloudWatch, and IAM.
• Experience with AWS CodeCommit, CodeBuild, and CodePipeline.
• Experience with Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform, or CloudFormation in enterprise environments.
• Exposure to AWS serverless and event-driven architectures.
