Job summary

Winrock International is seeking a Technical Lead for Sustainability Services in regenerative agriculture and climate. This remote role emphasizes decarbonization of value chains (Scopes 1–3), adherence to GHG protocols, and advisory to FLAG sector clients.

The position requires 7+ years of experience in greenhouse gas accounting in agriculture, strong data analysis skills, and the ability to communicate complex topics to non-experts. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in greenhouse gas accounting in the agriculture field.
• Experience with soil organic carbon (SOC) and land use change models and GHG profiles.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; effective public speaking.
• Experience with GHG Protocol, SBTi, and related climate standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support client interactions presenting updates and deliverables.
• Track and manage a pipeline of technical advisory requests and climate projects.
• Validate climate project scope and methodologies per standards and policy.
• Analyze climate projects across agriculture, forestry and emissions; produce high-quality deliverables.
• Prepare client-facing reports, presentations and communications; translate technical topics for wider audiences.
• Provide training and supervision; coach junior staff and stakeholders.
