Job summary

FirstCarbon Solutions (FCS), an ADEC Innovation, is seeking a Senior Sustainability Project Manager, Lead GHG Verifier to lead verification projects and advance GHG inventories under CARB, WA Ecology, Oregon, TCR and related programs. Remote, US-based role reporting to the Associate Director, Climate and Verification Services.

Responsibilities include designing compliance roadmaps, conducting GHG accounting and LCA, and supporting ESG reporting and business development.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Civil and Environmental Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• Two years of related experience.
• Accredited as a lead verifier under CARB MRR, LCFS, WA Ecology, or Oregon DEQ.
• Experience in greenhouse gas accounting, life‑cycle assessment, or environmental metrics accounting.
• Experience managing end‑to‑end sustainability reporting, including annual reports and disclosures.
• Leading verification projects under GHG programs such as CARB, WA, OR, or TCR.
• Leading internal audits with ANSI standards knowledge.
• Experience in LCA and modeling in software such as LCA For Experts and producing EPDs.
• 10–20% domestic travel required.

Responsibilities

• Lead verification projects under CARB (California), WA Ecology, Oregon, TCR, and other GHG programs.
• Design compliance roadmaps to prepare companies for SB253 and SB261 disclosures.
• Conduct greenhouse gas accounting, life‑cycle assessments, and environmental metrics accounting.
• Develop decarbonization strategies and supplier‑engagement programs to improve data quality and net‑zero progress.
• Support ESG reporting aligned with GRI, SASB, TCFD, SBTi, CDP, CSRD.
• Present insights to executive stakeholders, lead client debriefs and meetings, and support business development.
• Lead internal audits and ensure ANSI standards compliance.
• Manage project portfolios and develop detailed project plans.
• Perform LCAs and model LCAs in LCA For Experts, producing EPDs.
• Represent the firm at industry events and thought‑leadership activities.
