Position Title: Technical Manager for Industrial Programs
Location: HQ Office, VA Office, US Hybrid, or US Remote
Department: Environmental Resources Trust (ERT) – ACR
POSITION SUMMARY
The Technical Manager for Industrial Programs is a technical position focused on mine methane capture and other methane‑related methodologies within ACR, supporting the ACR Industrial Programs Director, Managing Director, and other team members. The role involves performing routine and complex project reviews, developing and maintaining project record‑keeping systems, conducting site visits and audits, and ensuring projects efficiently progress through the Registry process while maintaining high standards of technical support to external stakeholders.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s or advanced degree in environmental, natural, or physical sciences; engineering; GHG emissions accounting; or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience. Experience with technical and regulatory aspects of mine methane capture and destruction, GHG emissions/carbon accounting principles, and verification and auditing standards. Experience with carbon accounting, carbon markets, or related environmental markets desired.
Computer/Technical Skills: Proficiency in SharePoint, Outlook, and the full MS Office suite.
Communication Skills: Strong writing skills required.
Language: Fluency in spoken and written English required. Fluency in one or more additional languages is an asset.
Required Travel: Must be available to travel for short‑term assignments.

Salary Range: $91 K – $120 K (depending on experience)
