Pomelo Care is seeking a technical lead to shape patient interaction across our mobile and web apps, from enrollment through care journey. You will mentor engineers, set architecture standards, and collaborate with product, design, and clinical teams to deliver engaging, high-quality experiences for tens of thousands of patients in the US.
You will prototype features with design and product teams, using AI tools to move fast and test ideas that improve engagement and retention.
Pomelo Care is the leading virtual medical practice for women and children, providing care across pregnancy, postpartum, pediatrics, menopause, and perimenopause. We combine proactive, 24/7 clinical care with technology that helps us reach patients earlier, identify risks sooner, and deliver personalized care throughout their journey. Our team includes clinicians, technologists, operators, and problem-solvers working together to make high-quality care more accessible for families nationwide.
Your north star: You'll serve as the technical lead for how patients interact with Pomelo from the moment they enroll through their entire care journey.
We can only meaningfully improve health outcomes if patients are highly engaged in their care and trust our team. The earlier we can start providing care, the more likely we can affect outcomes. That all starts with the patient experience: building features that check in with patients throughout their journey, provide them the best next step for their care, triage their urgent needs, make it simple to get high quality care, and help them feel supported. This role sits at the center of that mission.
This role reports to a Senior Staff Engineering Manager and is open to any candidates located in the continental US.
We'll be especially excited if you:

To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.
Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it.
