Job summary

Pomelo Care is hiring for a role that owns and accelerates the health plan partnership pipeline. You will drive deal strategy, build pricing models, and lead cross-functional projects with Partnerships and Marketing to grow our health-plan engagements.

You will report to the VP of Growth and can work remotely anywhere in the continental United States. Bring 4+ years in client-facing or analytical roles and 3+ years in healthcare with health plans.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years in a client-facing or analytical role; management consulting preferred.
  • 3+ years healthcare experience working with health plans.
  • Strong problem-solving and project management capabilities.

  • Drive deal strategy with data-driven insights on pipeline effectiveness and health plan priorities.

About The Role:

Your north star: Own and accelerate Pomelo’s health plan partnership pipeline, driving deal strategy to expand our opportunities to serve patients.

This role reports to the VP of Growth and is open to any candidates located in the continental US.

What you'll do:
  • Drive deal strategy with data-driven insights on pipeline effectiveness and conduct deep strategic research on health plan priorities and state policy changes to identify high-value engagement opportunities.
  • Source, track, and nurture a robust pipeline of health plan opportunities. You will focus on identifying high-potential partners and driving deal velocity, particularly within large national payers
  • Architect and develop high-stakes presentation materials for strategic partnership opportunities, ensuring the narrative resonates with health plan stakeholders across leadership levels and functions.
  • Advocate for prospect needs internally and lead strategic cross-functional projects critical to Pomelo’s growth. Work in lockstep with Partnerships and Marketing teams to align on prospective customer opportunities, events, and market messaging.
  • Lead the development of pricing models and collaborate with legal/compliance to advance contracting processes.

Who you are:

  • 4+ years of experience in a client-facing or analytical role; management consulting background is strongly preferred.
  • 3+ years of healthcare experience, specifically working with health plans.
  • Strategic Problem Solver: You have strong problem-solving and project management experience, capable of managing competing priorities across cross-functional teams.
  • Entrepreneurial & Driven: You are highly adaptive, entrepreneurial, and pragmatic, able to turn abstract ideas into commercial action in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional Communicator: You possess executive-level written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex healthcare concepts into simple, compelling messaging.
  • Experience owning or managing client relationships.
  • Experience selling into health plans.
  • Experience working at a technology-enabled services high growth company and/or with value-based care models

Compensation:

The expected base salary range offered for this role is $130,000-$150,000. This role is also eligible for an annual performance bonus and equity, giving you an ownership stake in Pomelo’s mission. Actual compensation may vary based on relevant experience, skills, competencies, and certifications.
