Job summary

Chime is seeking an engineering leader to guide Trust & Safety squads. The Tech Lead Manager will coach 3–5 engineers, own squad delivery, write code alongside the team, and shape technical direction.

Collaboration with Product and Design is essential to align scope and priorities, while embracing AI-assisted tooling for faster delivery. Ideal candidates will have hands-on coding experience in Ruby/React Native, strong distributed systems and AWS expertise, and a track record of building

Qualifications

• Experience with Ruby and React Native in production systems.
• Strong background in distributed systems and AWS services.
• Knowledge of service-oriented architectures (SOA) and scalable design.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach 3–5 engineers, owning hiring and performance management.
• Own end-to-end squad delivery from sprint planning to production.
• Write and ship code alongside the team and review pull requests.
• Define technical direction, architecture, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with Product and Design on scope and priorities.
• Drive adoption of AI-assisted development tools for the team.
• Ensure on-call readiness and incident response readiness.
