Job summary
Caterpillar is seeking a Technical Lead - Hybrid Power & Energy Storage Systems to drive the design, integration, and deployment of advanced hybrid energy solutions. You will influence product strategy, system architecture, and technology direction while collaborating with engineering teams worldwide.
You will mentor engineers, lead complex projects, and evaluate new technologies to strengthen Caterpillar's hybrid energy portfolio, with onsite work in Mossville, IL or Griffin, GA.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Deep expertise in hybrid energy systems and related power electronics concepts.
- Experience leading complex technical projects and guiding engineering direction.
- Familiarity with electrical power systems, controls, and inverter technologies.
Responsibilities
- Define system architectures and technical roadmaps for future products.
- Lead the technical development of hybrid power and energy storage systems.
- Drive integration of generators, BESS, inverters, microgrids, and site-level control systems.
- Guide requirements development, design reviews, validation activities, and technical decisions.
- Collaborate with global engineering teams to meet customer needs and business goals.
- Mentor engineers and provide leadership across multiple projects.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and advance Caterpillar's hybrid energy portfolio.
- Support compliance with industry standards and certification efforts.
