Job summary

Dallas City Hall is seeking a Technical Lead for Engineering and Architecture within the Dallas Water Utilities Civil Service. You will supervise engineers, project coordinators, architects and landscape architects on major water, wastewater and public infrastructure projects, ensuring technical quality and compliance with codes and standards.

You will lead planning, design, and construction, manage bids and contracts, mentor teams, and collaborate with city leadership to meet delivery goals

Qualifications

• Six (6) years of progressive experience in engineering or architecture as a licensed engineer, architect or landscape architect.
• Three (3) Years of supervisory experience is preferred.
• Licensed Professional Engineer, Architectural License or Landscape Architect License.
• Experience in design and project management of public infrastructure projects, including water/wastewater systems and related facilities.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical oversight and supervision of design and construction for infrastructure projects.
• Leads planning, design, and construction activities ensuring compliance with codes and standards.
• Manages bidding, contracts, and execution for engineering, architectural, and landscape projects.
• Mentors and guides engineers, project coordinators, architects, and landscape architects to deliver capital improvements.
