Job summary

AutoStore is seeking a Lead Engineer to join the Robotics – New Product Development team, heading a small group of engineers across electronics, firmware and mechanics. You will take ownership of key sub-systems, review designs, and guide technical decisions from concept through to production.

The role combines technical leadership with people management for a growing engineering team, planning work, tracking milestones, and developing engineers to reach their potential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in engineering with product development focus.
• Experience leading engineers or technical teams.
• Strong electronics, firmware, and mechanical systems understanding.
• Proven ability to take products from concept to production.

Responsibilities

• Take technical ownership of sub-systems across electronics, firmware, and mechanics.
• Lead a multidisciplinary engineering team, plan resources and milestones.
• Coordinate with Product, System Architecture, Project Management, Supply Chain, Test, Compliance, and Manufacturing.
• Mentor engineers and drive engineering best practices.
• Review designs and make technical trade-offs.
