JPI in Irvine, CA is seeking a Technical Lead for the Design for Execution team. The role bridges design, construction, and development to ensure executable, cost-aligned designs.

You will guide risk management, coordinate with consultants, and supervise BIM/VDC processes while maintaining schedule and cost objectives. This position offers a comprehensive benefits package and a 5-day work week, with strong opportunities for leadership within a growing multifamily platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, architecture, or related field.
• 6–10 years of design management and construction experience in multifamily industry.
• Strong knowledge of sequencing, logistics, and coordination.
• Proficient in BIM/VDC tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead design phase risk management and de-risking sessions at each milestone.
• Coordinate with consultants and trade partners to validate critical systems.
• Develop and maintain risk register and mitigation plan through design phase.
• Audit drawing packages to flag elements causing rework or schedule impact.
